Performance killer for the computer

I have been using Keyshot for 10 years or so off and on. I only do a few projects each year where I need to render my models. I use Solid Edge to model and the built-in Keyshot functions to render. I have updated keyshot to 2023.3 for Solid Edge.

This is tasking out my CPU making my computer unresponsive. This happens when I select an object to apply a material or trying to adjust the perspective by panning, rotating, or zooming.

Are there settings that I need to change in Keyshot?

If you use CPU instead of GPU I would certainly limit the % of CPU it uses. If I’m working in CPU mode I mostly have it at 25% I think. If you’re making the final renders you can raise it but if you still want to use the PC for other things you could leave a percentage open as well. That way rendering will limit you much less.
